A “hands-on” approach to operating the marine construction business in North Carolina, B. Prescott Marine Construction is a full service marine contracting provider specializing in state of the art concrete docks. Instead of using traditional wood for decking, we use concrete slabs. Concrete docks are more durable and produce a cleaner, more streamline structure. For a more traditional structure we also build wooden docks. We use pressure treated Southern Yellow Pine.
We are based in Oriental, North Carolina, and have been working with CAMA representatives for over 20 years. We have the experience with all the ever changing CAMA rules and regulations, and we are able to obtain permits for docks, seawalls, dredging, permits in the area. The Division of Coastal Management works to protect, conserve and manage North Carolina’s coastal resources through an integrated program of planning, permitting, education and research, and we totally support their work.
Serves Tyrrell, Washington, Beaufort, Hyde, and Pamlico counties. But we extend our services to all of the beautiful coast of North Carolina. On the Neuse River, tucked away in the charming southern coast of North Carolina, we serve also New Bern, Morehead City and Beaufort. We know all the marshes, beaches, islands, creeks, rivers and marinas in every corner, and The 266 miles of navigable waters in Pamlico County and the beautiful Oriental, also known as North Carolina’s sailing capital.
Bobby Prescott was born and raised on the shores of eastern North Carolina. He began his career on the water as a commercial fisherman and then spent nearly 20 years managing and constructing two of the most successful marinas in the area.
